Adverb Clause in Hindi
किसी भी वाक्य में क्रिया के बारे में ज्यादा जानकारी देने वाले clause को Adverb Clause कहा जाता है।
Adverb Clause अधिकांश : time, place, purpose, condition, result, cause, comparison, contrast, तथा manner बतलाता है।
निम्नलिखित उदाहरणों में विभिन्न प्रकार से Adverb Clause का प्रयोग किया जाता है -
1. जब तुम आये थे, मै सो रहा था।
When you came, I was sleeping. (Time)
2. जहाँ हो वही रहो।
Stay where you are. (Place)
3. यदि तुम पढोगे तो पास हो जाओगे।
3. If you read, you will pass. (Condition)
4. यद्यपि मोहन बीमार था, फिर भी पास हो गया।
Although Mohan was ill, yet he fast. (Contrast)
5. वह इतना मोटा था कि तेज़ नहीं दौड़ सका।
He was so fat that he could not run fast. (Effect)
6. वह अलीगढ नहीं जा सका क्योंकि उसका छोटा भाई बीमार था।
He could not go to Aligarh because his younger brother was ill. (Cause)
7. वह इस तरह से बातें करता है मानो की राजकुमार हो।
He talks as if he were a prince. (Manner)
8. मै तुमसे अधिक मोटा हूँ।
I am fatter than you. (Comparison)
9. वह कठिन परिश्रम करती है ताकि वह प्रथम आ सके।
She works hard so that he may stand first. (Purpose)
10. वह इतना कमजोर है कि चल नहीं सकता।
He is so weak that he cannot walk. (Result)

Note : - (i) भाव प्रकट करने के लिए so के बाद that लगता है।
(ii) If से शुरू clause के बाद Principle clause में then नहीं आता है।
(iii) When से शुरू clause के बाद Principle clause में then नहीं आता है।
(iv) Though या Although वाले clause के बाद Principle clause में 'फिर भी' तथापि के लिए yet आता है।
(v) 'ज्यों ही' के लिए as soon as का प्रयोग करते हैं, 'त्यों ही' के लिए केवल अल्पविराम लगाते हैं ; जैसे - ज्यो ही मै आया, त्यों ही मास्टर साहब ने मुझे बुलाया।
इस वाक्य की अंग्रेजी दो प्रकार से बनती है -
(1) As soon as I came, the teacher called me.
(2) No sooner did I come than the teacher called me.
(vi) Unless और until दोनों Negative है। इनका साथ not, never का प्रयोग नहीं होता है।
(vii) Unless से शर्त प्रकट होती है और until से समय का। अतः unless के स्थान पर until का प्रयोग नहीं करते।
(viii) Till Positive है अतः not का प्रयोग करते हैं।

What is Adverb Clause
An Adverb clause is a dependent clause that functions as an adverb in a sentence. It provides information about the verb, adjective, or adverb in the independent clause and typically begins with a subordinating conjunction such as "when," "because," "if," "although," "while," or "since " etc.
Here are some Examples of Adverb clauses in sentences:
1. "After he finished his homework, he went to bed." (The adverb clause "after he finished his homework" modifies the verb "went.")
2. "Because it was raining, we decided to stay inside." (The adverb clause "because it was raining" modifies the verb "decided.")
3. "If you study hard, you'll do well on the exam." (The adverb clause "if you study hard" modifies the verb phrase "you'll do well.")
Adverb clauses can also indicate time, reason, contrast, condition, concession, manner, and other types of relationships between ideas in a sentence.
Examples of Adverb Clause
1. Although he studied hard, he didn't do well on the test.
2. After we finish dinner, we can go for a walk.
3. Because she was tired, she went to bed early.
4. If you need help, just ask me.
5. Since it's raining, we should take an umbrella.
6. Until you finish your homework, you can't watch TV.
7. While he was driving, he listened to the radio.
8. As soon as I saw the movie, I knew I wanted to see it again.
Adverb clause Exercise
Translate the following sentences into English :
1. ज्यों ही वह आया, त्यों ही उसने अपने भाई से बात की।
2. अगर तुम मेरे पास आओगे, तो मै तुम्हारी सहायता करूंगा।
3. मैंने उसकी सहायता की, क्योंकि वह मेरा मित्र है।
4. जब तक तुम और अधिक परिश्रम नहीं करोगे, तब तक पास नहीं हो सकते।
5. तुम जैसा चाहो वैसा कर सकते हो।
6. यद्यपि वह गरीब है फिर भी ईमानदार है।
7. यदि चपरासी ऑफिस में आता तो सफाई करता।
8. यद्यपि वह कमजोर है फिर भी वह दौड़ सकता है।
9. तुम जैसा खाना खाना चाहो खा सकते हो।
10. यदि तुम मेरे पास आते, तो मै तुम्हारी सहायता करता।
