Can का प्रयोग - use of can in hindi

अंग्रेजी में Can का प्रयोग Helping verb के तौर पर होता है। हिंदी में इसका मतलब सकता है , सकती है ,सकते हैं , सकता हो , सकते हो , सकती हो अदि होता है।  

यह एक Model Auxiliary Verb है।  अंग्रेजी में 13 Model Auxiliary Verb हैं जैसे -shall, should, will, would, can, could, may, might, must, ought, need, dare, used आदि।

Rule 1. Can का प्रयोग power (शक्ति), ability (योग्यता), capacity (क्षमता) को express (अभिव्यक्त) करने के लिए किया जाता है। 

जैसे - 

Use of can in Affirmative sentences (सकारात्मक वाक्य)

वह बॉक्स उठा सकता है।	He can lift the box.
तुम अंग्रेजी बोल सकते हो।	You can speak English.
तुम मेरे दुश्मन को हरा सकते हो।	You can defeat my enemy.

तुम यह प्रश्न हल कर सकते हो।	You can solve this question
तुम क्रिकेट खेल सकते हो।	You can play the cricket.
मै उसे हरा सकता हूँ।	I can defeat him.
तुम यह परीक्षा पास कर सकते हो।	You can pass this exam.
तुम लोग यह काम कर सकते हो।	You can do this work.
रानी नदी में तैर सकती है।	Rani can swim this river.
मै अंग्रेजी लिख सकता हूँ।	I can write English.

Use of Can in Negative Sentences (नकारात्मक वाक्य)

मै संगीत नहीं गा सकता हूँ।	I can not sing a song.

मनुष्य सभी काम नहीं खेल सकता है।	Human can not do everything.
राकेश तुम्हे नहीं पीट सकता है।	Rakesh can not beat you.
तुम मेरी मदद नहीं कर सकते हो।	You can not help me.
तुम मेरे घर नहीं आ सकते हो।	You can not come to my home.
रमेश डॉक्टर नहीं बन सकता है।	Ramesh can not be a doctor.
मै उससे बात नहीं कर सकता हूँ।	I can not talk to him.
सुरेश चल नहीं सकता है।	Suresh can not walk.
तुम अपने आप को नहीं बदल सकते हो।	You can not change yourself.
तुम दौड़ नहीं सकते हो।	You can not run.

Use of Can in Interrogative Sentences (प्रश्नवाचक वाक्य)

Can Meaning In Hindi

           Can = सकना 

          Could = सकता था 

Can का अर्थ हिंदी में 'सकना' होता है यह शब्द किसी व्यक्ति की ताकत , योग्यता और क्षमता को प्रदर्शित करता है। इसका प्रयोग अनुमति के लिए भी किया जाता है। Can का Past Tense form 'Could' होता है , could को हम past tense में हम प्रयोग करते हैं।  

जैसे - 

उसे बोर्ड परीक्षा पास करने की क्षमता थी। 

He could pass the board examination.

Rule 2. Can का प्रयोग permission (अनुमति) देने के भाव को express करने के लिए होता है ?

     जैसे -

तुम अब जा सकते हो। 

You can go now.

तुम दूकान से कलम खरीद सकते हो। 

You can buy pens from the shop.

क्या आज रात मै सिनेमा जा सकता हूँ ?

Can I go to cinema tonight.

क्या मै तुम्हारी डायरी देख सकता हूँ ?

Can I see your diary.

रुको ! तुम वह  नहीं कर सकते हो। 

Stop ! you can't do that.

Note : (i) इस प्रकार के sentence में can का अर्थ - be allowed to / be permitted to होता है। जैसे -

You can go now.

अर्थ - (i) You are allowed to go now.

         (ii) You are permitted to go now.

(ii) Permission देने के भाव को express करने के लिए can के बदले may के प्रयोग को ज्यादा बेहतर और उपयुक्त माना जाता है। 

(iii) Permission लेने के भाव को express करने के लिए May के प्रयोग को ज्यादा बेहतर और उपयुक्त माना जाता है अतः हम लोगो को permission लेने के लिए may का प्रयोग करना चाहिए न की can का। 

Rule 3. Can का प्रयोग theoretical possibility (सैद्धांतिक संभावना) को express करने के लिए किया जाता है।  जैसे - 

सभी गलती कर सकते हैं। 

Everyone can make a mistake.

यह सच नहीं हो सकता। 

It can't be true.

बिजली हानिकारक हो सकती है। 

Electricity can be dangerous.

Rule 4. Can का प्रयोग habit (आदत) or nature (स्वभाव) को express करने के लिए किया जाता है। जैसे -

धोखेबाज़ हमें धोखा दे सकता है। 

A deceitful person can deceive us.

ईमानदार आदमी किसी को नुकशान नहीं पहुंचा सकता है। 

An honest man cannot harm anyone.
